Hackney Wick Window is a window for contemplation along the Regent’s Canal in East London. The design uses curved timber to enhance the acoustics from the passing wate. The space seeks to encourage human intimacy, with tactile wood and reclining seats. The sound of the rain is amplified in the space through both the design of the timber and the jutting window.
